Greeley, CO-On Thursday evening, Michael J. Rourke and his family were joined by numerous supporters in Downtown Greeley as he announced his bid for re-election as the Weld County District Attorney in 2020.
"I've been honored to serve my community in this capacity over the past six years and I look forward to doing so for another four years." Michael told the excited crowd. His campaign kicked off with contributions and endorsements applauding the District Attorney while reflecting on the completion of a successful prior term.
Since taking office in 2014 after being appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper, Michael has established the Critical Incident Response Team for Weld County, served on numerous boards, and was the President of the Colorado District Attorney's Council. He was elected as Colorado State Director to the National District Attorney's Association and continues to serve on their board.
"Weld County is where Kimberly and I have chosen to raise our family, and I would be honored to continue to serve our neighbors in this community as your elected District Attorney."
